What do I do when I feel like I have nothing to say?
Efri · 1 min readUsually “I have nothing to say” means one of three things.
- 1.You are trying to sound impressive instead of useful
- 2.Go back to evidence
- 3.You do not need a groundbreaking idea every time
- 4.If the blankness persists, stop forcing output and improve input
You are trying to sound impressive instead of useful. You are consuming so much of other people’s content that your own thoughts feel unoriginal. Or you are too far away from real work and real conversations to have fresh inputs.
Go back to evidence. What did someone ask you this week? What annoyed you? What did you change your mind about? What took longer than expected? What did you explain to a colleague? What did a customer misunderstand?
You do not need a groundbreaking idea every time. Useful content often comes from naming something familiar more clearly.
If the blankness persists, stop forcing output and improve input. Talk to people, do the work, read something outside your usual feed, review old notes. A creator who has nothing to say usually needs more contact with reality, not another hook template.
