What do I do when my social media content stops working?

Do not respond to weak social media performance by changing everything at once.

First identify what actually changed. Did reach fall while engagement stayed healthy? That points toward distribution. Did reach remain stable while people stopped reacting? That points toward content relevance.

Did engagement look fine but clicks and leads disappear? The issue may be the offer or call to action rather than the content itself.

Then compare the recent period with the last period that worked. Topic, format, specificity, point of view, posting frequency, audience mix. Creators often drift gradually and do not notice that the content has become safer or broader.

Change one meaningful variable, topic, format, angle or level of specificity, and give it enough posts to learn something.

A content slump is information. Treat it as a diagnosis problem, not a reason to panic and reinvent the brand.
