Ask Efri

How do I find my customer's pain points, not the ones I assume?

You have to dig deep.

In short
4 key points
  • My favourite go-tos are TikTok, watching how people interact, and joining communities
  • The point is to be where they talk to each other, not where they talk to you
  • That's where the real pain point is
  • Read the complaints under your competitors' posts

My favourite go-tos are TikTok, watching how people interact, and joining communities. Following the same kind of Facebook groups, going in and understanding.

The point is to be where they talk to each other, not where they talk to you. People say completely different things in those two places. To you, they're polite and they perform being reasonable. To each other, they complain properly.

That's where the real pain point is. Not in a survey. In someone venting in a comment section at 11pm.

Read the complaints under your competitors' posts. Read the three-star reviews. Sit in the groups and don't post anything for a while.

Then use exactly what you heard.
