Warning signs include posting in the middle of an unresolved emotional event, exposing someone else’s private life, sharing details that are unnecessary to the lesson, or publishing because you need reassurance from the audience.
A useful question is: has the experience been processed enough that I can choose what belongs in the story?
Another is: would the post still be valuable if I removed the most intimate detail? If yes, that detail may be serving attention rather than understanding.
Professional vulnerability can be powerful because it makes competence more human. Oversharing makes the private material become the product.
