How do I express strong opinions without becoming performative or needlessly controversial?

Explain what you believe, why you believe it, and what evidence or experience would make you change your mind
Explain what you believe, why you believe it, and what evidence or experience would make you change your mind. That gives the opinion structure beyond “everyone is wrong except me.”
Avoid making the audience the enemy. You can criticize an idea, habit or industry practice without pretending everyone who disagrees is stupid.
Specificity helps. “Most marketing advice is useless” is performative. “Treating posting frequency as a substitute for content quality creates a false sense of progress” is a position someone can actually evaluate.
Strong opinion content becomes more credible when readers can see the reasoning and the limits. Controversy may increase attention, but trust is built by what you do with the attention once it arrives.
