Why does everyone eventually start sounding the same on LinkedIn?

Creators see which hooks, sentence lengths, story arcs and emotional beats perform, then imitate them
Creators see which hooks, sentence lengths, story arcs and emotional beats perform, then imitate them. AI accelerates that convergence by training on and reproducing common patterns. Eventually, “authentic LinkedIn writing” becomes a recognizable template.
The sameness also comes from shared inputs. People read the same creators, use the same content frameworks and discuss the same trending topics.
To avoid that, improve your inputs. Read outside LinkedIn. Use customer conversations, books, research, work experiences and fields unrelated to your own. Keep phrases you actually say. Publish ideas before you have seen how everyone else framed them.
Originality is often less about trying to sound unusual and more about having a different source material. If everyone drinks from the same well, the writing eventually tastes the same.
