How do I stop comparing myself to people online?

Personal branding is marketing
Personal branding is marketing. The person posting about their wins is doing exactly what a company does with a case study. They're showing the result and not the eighteen months, the failures, the debt, or the parts that didn't work.
That's not dishonest. It's just what the format is. Nobody posts the ordinary middle.
So you're comparing your entire unedited life to someone's marketing. Of course you lose. It's built so you lose. That's what makes it good marketing.
Practically: mute people, not out of resentment, just because you don't need the input. Follow fewer people in your exact field. And notice when you're doing it, because it's usually at a specific time of day and in a specific mood, and it's rarely about them.
And if someone's genuinely doing something you want to do, stop watching and message them. Comparison turns into information the moment there's a conversation attached.
