How do I become more productive?
Efri · 1 min readProductivity is difficult because you confuse it with busyness. You think doing more means being more productive. So you fill every hour. You say yes to everything. You end the day exhausted and still behind. That is not productivity. That is motion without direction.
- You believe productivity is about speed and volume
- Stop asking "How can I do more?"
- Pick your top three priorities for the day
Why that is
You believe productivity is about speed and volume. It is not. It is about getting the right things done with the resources you actually have. Your time, energy, and attention are limited. You cannot do everything. You have to choose.
The mindset shift
Stop asking "How can I do more?" Start asking "What actually matters?" Productivity is not a list of tasks. It is a filter. The goal is not to finish more things. It is to finish the things that move the needle. Everything else is noise.
What to do next
Pick your top three priorities for the day. Not ten. Three. Do them first. Before email. Before meetings. Before anything else. Protect that time. Say no to everything else. Not forever. Just for now. If it is not in the top three, it can wait.
How to maintain it
Review your week. What did you actually accomplish? What was a waste of time? What can you cut? Keep cutting. Protect your calendar. Do not let other people fill your time with their priorities. And remember: rest is productive. You cannot pour from an empty cup.
